|
The anatomical characters about 13 taxa of Korean Euphorbia L. were investigated to estimate their taxonomic values. Some characteristics, such as the bundle sheath of leaf, the shape and distribution pattern of vascular bundle in petiole, the ovule shape in ovary were found to be good characters in delimiting above sections. E. jolkini was distinguished from the other taxa by pappilae on leaf surface and E. humifusa by four ribs on stem. E. pallasii, E. maculata, E. fauriei, E. supina, and E. humifusa were divided into the other taxa by faint development of xylem in stem. E. jolkini, E. fauriei, and E. pekinensis were different from the other taxa by multicellular projection of ovary surface, and E. helioscopia by the unicellular projection of ovary surface and achinate projection of ovule surface. E, esula, E. fauriei, E. pekinensis, E. helioscopia, E. humifusa, E. maculata, and E. supina were different in the depression featuress of ovary wall in suture. |
