A new species of Asarum sect. Asiasarum (Aristolochiaceae), A. misandrum B. Oh et J. Kim, is described from Is. Wando, Mangso˘k-ri and Cheju-do, Kyorae-ri of the southern part of Korea. Asarum misandrum differs from its relatives, A. heterotropoides var. mandshuricum and var. seoulense, in having smaller flower, smaller and strongly recurved calyx lobes which adhere closely to calyx tube, and no trichomes on adaxial leaf surface and petiole. A key to these three related taxa of the section in Korea is provided.
