Abstract
In order to presume the relationships among five species (G. schlechtendaliana, G. repens, G. macrantha, G. maximowicziana, and G. velutina) and their populations of the Korean Goodyera, RAPDs analysis was performed. Eight arbitary primers giving rise to 64 RAPD bands were enough to reveal differences among genotypes. They were clustered into at least two groups by the UPGMA and the NJ tree. First group consisted of G. schlechtendaliana and G. repens, and second group was comprised of G. macrantha, G. maximowicziana and G. velutina. The UPGMA and the NJ tree based on RAPDs showed that G. schlechtendaliana and G. repens had the closest relationship among examined species, and RAPDs analysis was useful in elucidating the relationship of Goodyera taxa.
