INTRODUCTION
The International Code of Nomenclature for algae, fungi, and plants (Turland et al., 2025) requires that conserved names be adopted to ensure nomenclatural stability (Art. 14). The generic name Chrysanthemum L. was proposed for conservation with a conserved type by Trehane (1995), and this proposal was approved by the General Committee and ratified at the 1999 International Botanical Congress (St. Louis; Nicolson, 1999). Consequently, Chrysanthemum is retained as the correct generic name, and Dendranthema (DC.) Des Moul. is treated as a synonym under the current Code.
During the preparation of the account of Asteraceae for A Synonymic List of Vascular Plants in Korea, it was therefore decided that taxa treated under Dendranthema should be transferred to Chrysanthemum in accordance with the conserved status of the latter. Most Korean taxa previously treated under Dendranthema already have valid combinations in Chrysanthemum. However, Dendranthema jeongseonense M. Kim & H. Jo (Kim, 2017), described as an endemic species of Korea, has not yet been recombined under Chrysanthemum.
Accordingly, a new combination under Chrysanthemum is here proposed for this taxon.
