ABSTRACT
Epidermal patterns of six taxa which belong to the genus Lycoris were investigated using light and scanning electron microscopy. Epidermal cells of leaves were classified into two types on the basis of the degree of protuberance of cells and the distribution and position of stomata. In addition, they were divided into two different types based on the presence or absence of wax. Three different surface patterns were recognized in epidermal cells of styles, but those of anthers did not show any distinct patterns.
