ABSTRACT
The fruit and seed morphology of Korean Chenopodium, representing eight species and one variety, was investigated by dissecting and scanning electron microscope. Useful characters to identify Chenopodium taxa including the C, album complex were exposure of fruit, fruit shape, surface pattern of pericarp and seed coat, adhesiveness of pericarp, seed size, maginal acuteness of seed, and embryo shape. The morphology of fruit and seed as well as external morphology suggested that C, koraiense should be merged in C. bryoniaefolium, and C. album var. centrorubrum in C. album var. album, respectively.
