By a principal components analysis of 135 plants from 18 populations of Korean Adonis on the basis of 15 reproductive characters, three species were recognized : A. amurensis was readily distinguished from A. multiflora and A. pseudoamurensis by having shorter petals and anthers, narrower petals and sepals, less stamens, and a single flower per stem. A. multiflora was distinguished from A. pseudoamurensis by having longer ovary, sepals wider than petals and less pistils per flower. |
